In short
- We read payment and bank data only to reconcile it for you. We never move money.
- Full card numbers are never collected or stored. Only masked references from providers are used.
- Your data is encrypted and is never sold or used to advertise to your customers.
- You can export or delete your data when you leave.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Swipellet website, the Swipellet reconciliation application and the connections you set up between Swipellet and your POS systems, UPI providers, card acquirers, payment gateways, delivery platforms and banks.
2. Information we collect
Account information. Name, work email, role, business name, industry, number of outlets and the details you enter when you sign up or write to the Payments Desk.
Payment and settlement data. Sales lines from your POS, transaction and settlement reports from your providers, fee and MDR reports, refund, reversal and dispute records, and bank statement lines. These typically include amounts, dates, outlet and terminal identifiers, UTR, RRN, order IDs and masked card or VPA references.
Usage information. Log-in times, actions taken in the application (such as confirming a match or exporting a report), browser type and IP address, used to secure your account and keep an audit trail.
3. Information we do not collect
- Full card numbers, CVV, card PINs or UPI PINs.
- Net-banking usernames or passwords.
- Permissions to initiate payments, transfers, refunds or payouts.
4. How we use information
- To match sales, payments, settlements and bank credits, and to flag missing, short or duplicate amounts.
- To check fees against the rate cards you provide and draft claim letters and dispute responses for your team.
- To improve matching for your account based on the matches your team confirms or rejects.
- To send service emails such as login details, file-due alerts and billing notices.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
5. AI processing
The AI Settlement Matcher processes your data to suggest matches with a confidence score. Learning from your corrections is applied to your own account. Your transaction data is not used to train models shared with other merchants, and matches under your confidence threshold are always sent to a person to confirm.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that host, secure and operate the service (such as cloud hosting and email delivery), under contracts that limit their use of the data, and where required by law. Claim letters and dispute responses are sent to providers by your team, not by us.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside your account is role-based, so outlet managers see only their outlets. Provider connections use read-only credentials, and every change in the application is logged with the user and time.
8. Retention
Data is kept for the history period of your plan or as long as your account is active. When you close your account you can export your data, after which it is deleted from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. Your choices
You can access, correct, export or delete your account information, disconnect any provider at any time, and opt out of non-essential emails. To make a request, write to us through the Payments Desk.
10. Cookies
The website uses only the cookies needed to run forms and the security check. The application uses session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
11. Changes
If we change how we handle your data in a material way, we will tell account owners by email before the change applies.
